This is one of many things wrong with the media and LAWYERS! Everyone is so sensitive about "words" and how "words hurt". You know what I say? Quit being such a baby. It's just a song! The fact that MTV has made a big deal about it only helps bring that word to light. Most people were singing along, not caring about the word. But now, it's what everyone will be thinking about.
I believe in freedom of speech. Artists should be able to say whatever they want without being worried about getting fined or censored.
MTV is just scared (probably because of their lawyers' fear) of getting "in trouble" for airing that word. That's something I will fix. Television, movies, radio, and any form of entertainment can say whatever they wish (except the big ones) without being worried about repercussions.
Here's another ridiculous example:
www.usatoday.com/sports/motor/nascar/2007-07-31-stewart-penalized_N.htm
Tony Stewart was fined $25,000 for saying "bullshit" during an interview after a win. This is ludicrous and I'm embarrassed to be called an "American" after hearing stories like this. Should he have said it? No. But a $25,000 fine is not right. In Our America, he will be fined but nothing close to that. It will be more of a "talking to".
Bottom line: This country will be free again. I'll see to it. If you don't like what you hear on TV or the radio, don't watch/listen. Change the channel. Stop subjecting everyone else to censorship because you don't like what you're hearing. These groups that seek out political correctness will have zero pull when I'm president. I will laugh at them for making a fuss over the dumbest things. But, they've got that right. If that's what they choose to do, so be it. That's freedom. I'm still going to laugh at them though. ;D
